Cornhole is played on Mondays starting at 7:10 PM in the spring, fall, and winter.

All games will be played at RCSSC Annex: 7501 Ranco Road, Richmond, VA 23228.

General Cornhole Information

The game of cornhole has risen in popularity over the past decade since it’s super easy to play and can even be played while drinking an adult beverage.  A theory exists in cornhole that the more one drinks before and during play, the better one gets.  While this theory has yet to be proven, RCSSC invites all to come out to any of our sponsors’ locations for a post-game brew to discuss the matter.

Overview of Important Rules & Info.

• Be SOCIABLE
• Games will be played at RCSSC Annex: 7501 Ranco Road, Richmond, VA 23228
  
• The ideal team size is 6.
• A team must have at least 4 players (at least 2 need to be women) on roster to be eligible for play, but there is no maximum number of players allowed per team. 
• Each match fields 4 players per team with 2 games of 2 vs. 2 going at the same time.  At least 1 of those 4 players must be a woman.
• Players must be at least 21 years old by League Sign-Up Night.

TO AVOID FORFEIT FEE

• Yes, there is a fee when your team obstructs game-play.  The only way to avoid this fee is to contact the Commissioner at least 24 hours before the beginning of your game.

THE UNSAID SUDSY SOCIAL RULE OF RCSSC

Because the idea of the River City Sport & Social Club is to play sports and be SOCIAL, all teams should patronize one (OR MORE) of RCSSC’s bar sponsors (Home Team Grill, Buffalo Wild Wings, Gus', On The Rox) after each game.  These establishments care enough to support RCSSC (YOU), so socially supporting one of our sponsors by having a meal or a few drinks is important.  Plus, beer-infused post-game downtime is an essential part of the RCSSC social experience, and these sponsors have been kind enough to offer a player special for all social RCSSC players--as long as they have their team shirt on.  Who would say no?

League Divisions

There will be one league division offered for RCSSC co-ed.cornhole—Super Social.

Social- NOT OFFERED

Super Social- We all love cornhole because it is a relaxing game that doesn’t require too much ability—although accuracy is a considerable help.  So yes, you’ll need to be semi-accurate with the bags since the whole dern idea is to sink your bags into the hole on the board, but if you find yourself throwing a few stray bags, all it takes is a little bit of practice to straighten-up your game.

Extreme Social- NOT OFFERED

Seasons, Days and Times

• A season consists of 7 matches:
  • Winter starts mid January through March.
  • Spring starts late March through May.
  • Summer starts mid June through August.
  • Fall is early November through December.

• There may be other seasons.

League Fees

• League fees are $42 per person.
• Minimum 4 people per team (with at least 2 female players).  

Playoff Games

There will be 1 week of playoffs which end after the 7 weeks of games.
